Any organisation that has committed to Microsoft raises the same objection to a governance platform, and it is a fair one. We do not want another copy of our data, outside our tenant, outside our capacity, outside our commitment.
TellParrot for Fabric is the answer to that objection, and the maturity of each part is labelled exactly, because the objection deserves a precise reply rather than a reassuring one.
Available today
Golden records land in OneLake as open Delta tables, through export and mirroring, so the mastered record is a native Fabric asset your analysts and your models read where they already work. Governance verdicts, classifications, glossary terms and stewardship write back to Microsoft Purview through an approval rail, so nothing reaches Purview without a person allowing it. TellParrot reads the Purview Data Map, brings Power BI assets into the catalog, and publishes to Unified Catalog.
Alongside that: Dataverse export, streaming to Azure Event Hubs, Azure Data Factory ingest, SharePoint documents synced and scanned for personal information, a Power Automate and Power Apps connector, and a Microsoft Governance Hub with live Entra ID and Purview discovery.
Rolling out, and on the roadmap
Rolling out now: live discovery for Fabric, Power BI, Power Platform and Teams, and per-tenant consumption reporting. On the roadmap: processing push-down onto your own capacity. We publish those states as they are. A capability on this page is either live, rolling out, or planned, and it is never described as the first when it is the third.
Identity and residency
Sign-in is Microsoft Entra ID, with SCIM provisioning, so joiners, movers and leavers flow from the directory you already operate. TellParrot runs on Microsoft Azure in the region you choose, including Australian data residency in Sydney, as a single-tenant environment. Procurement can run through a transactable Azure Marketplace offer, against the Microsoft agreement you already have.
What stays true elsewhere
Azure is TellParrot's home platform, not its only one. Dedicated environments on AWS and Google Cloud are available in the region you choose, provisioned through your security review. The commitment is the same wherever the platform runs: your tenant, your region, your evidence.
